  • I Want To Book a Consultation- Do I Need to Pay a Deposit?
Never! Our consultation service is always free of charge. Whilst you are welcome to drop by the studio to discuss any ideas you may have, if there is a specific artist you wish to speak with, we always advise on making a consultation- just so you aren't kept waiting around too long if they're busy! To book a consultation, you can either do so by calling, e-mailing or dropping by the shop.
  • What is the Legal Age to get Tattooed?
Here in the UK, you must be aged 18 years or older to be legally tattooed. We ask that you provide photographic identification (passport/drivers license) when making a booking or attending a tattoo appointment. Minors, even in the accompaniment of a parent will not be permitted to get tattooed.
  • How Much For A Tattoo?
Tattoo pricing is determined by a many number of factors. Whilst we endeavour to give you an accurate quote as possible, prices are subject to change e.g if a tattoo takes longer/shorter than originally anticipated etc. Our price guides are as follows: Minimum Charge: £80.00 Daily Rate: £700* Hourly Rate: £100 The hourly rate applies to tattoos that will require 10+ hours or multiple sessions to complete. For designs that fall under the 10 hour mark, they will be independently priced on size, location, detail etc. * Please keep in mind that these are guidelines, for larger scale work some artists will charge differently depending on the project. We always recommend a free in person consultation to get an accurate representation of cost for larger work. Book your consultation today! We only accept cash as payment.
  • How Do I Get a Quote?
The best way to get an accurate price as possible is to come and have a consultation with one of our artists. We understand that sometimes this is just not feasible, so if you send us an e-mail including the following points, we will get back to you with a estimated quote: 1. The idea/design - it's always good to send over reference images for us to look at! 2. The size - you don't have to get specific. "Half the size of an iPhone 4s" will do. 3. The location - prices vary depending on the location of the tattoo, as some spots are easier to tattoo than others. 4. Black & Grey/Colour - prices will vary depending on the level of complexity of the palette It is virtually impossible to provide a quotation over the phone- if you need to discuss a tattoo idea with us, please drop by the studio or e-mail us through the contact page.
  • Do You Do Walk-In's?
You bet we do. Walk-in space however is always subject to availability - so we advise that it's always best to call/e-mail the shop first to check availability - just to save you hanging around too long!
  • Do You Do Piercings?
Yes! We do a range of body piercing services at Kings Cross Tattoo. Please call for more information. The legal age of consent for all Piercings at the studio is 16 and above. We require a form of physical photographic ID for all procedures. We do not perform Genital Piercings at the studio.
  • Can I Bring A Friend to My Appointment?
Whilst we don't mind you bringing a friend along for some emotional support, please try refrain from bringing in your entire posse. Friends will not be permitted into the tattooing area, however they are more than welcome to wait in reception.
